CRANE
COMMANDER LLC
CRANE COMMANDER / EXPERIENCE

Experience,
earned.

A career built through fabrication, technical service, worldwide commissioning, and leadership.

From the fabrication floor.
To industry leadership.

2007THE START OF MY
CRANE INDUSTRY CAREER

I started with a welding hood, a set of tools, and a desire to understand how things work. That curiosity took me from fabrication into hydraulics, electrical systems, crane commissioning, and eventually business leadership. More than 19 years into my crane industry career, I still draw on that foundation: understand the equipment, listen to the customer, and bring the right people together to solve the problem.

JUN 2007 – AUG 2010
Goodcrane Inc.

Built from the shop floor up.

Welder / Fitter · Production Lead · Service Technician
Houston, Texas

My career at Goodcrane began where ideas become physical equipment: the fabrication floor. Starting as a welder and fitter, I progressed into production leadership while expanding my skills across electrical work, hydraulics, machining, line boring, and CNC cutting. Each discipline gave me another way to understand the machine as a whole.

In 2009, an opportunity to install and commission a crane took that knowledge into the field. It was a turning point—connecting the work in the shop with the demands of the customer’s operation.

AUG 2010 – APR 2011
Puget Sound Hydraulics

Understanding the power behind the lift.

Hydraulic Technician
Seattle, Washington

At Puget Sound Hydraulics, I deepened my understanding of the systems that give heavy equipment its power and control. Working across winches, pumps, valves, cylinders, cranes, and hydraulic power units meant looking beyond individual components to understand how the entire system performs.

That experience strengthened a habit I still value: get to the root of the problem and understand what the equipment needs to do before deciding how to put it right.

APR 2011 – MAR 2014
TRIYARDS Houston

Taking responsibility from design to delivery.

Service Manager / Technician
Houston, Texas

At TRIYARDS Houston, my responsibilities brought engineering, field execution, and customer service together. I led installation and commissioning for the offshore crane line, supervised teams of up to 15, and conducted factory and harbor acceptance testing.

Working closely with design engineers gave me a direct connection between the drawing board and the finished crane. Installation and commissioning took me around the globe, bringing equipment to life in some of the world’s most demanding and isolated environments.

From beneath Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro to the docks of Mumbai, from the jungles of Vietnam to the deserts of the UAE, every assignment brought a different environment, a different set of constraints, and a customer relying on the equipment to perform. That work demanded technical resourcefulness, adaptability, and a clear understanding of the job the crane had to do.

I returned to the United States with a broader perspective and a practical foundation for the next chapter: helping ALATAS meet the scale and demands of the U.S. market, while drawing on experience earned around the world.

MAR 2014 – JAN 2015
ALATAS Americas Inc.

A broader technical horizon.

Senior Service Technician
Manvel, Texas

Joining ALATAS in March 2014 expanded my work across offshore crane manufacturers, systems, and operating challenges. The role called for an understanding of open- and closed-loop hydraulics, PLC controls, mechanical drives and brakes, wire ropes, and load monitoring systems.

The responsibility extended beyond troubleshooting. Planning work, coordinating people, leading jobsite safety discussions, and reporting clearly to customers reinforced the connection between technical knowledge and dependable service.

JAN 2015 – SEP 2017
ALATAS Americas Inc.

Turning field experience into team leadership.

Service Manager
Manvel, Texas

Moving into service management brought a wider responsibility: helping teams deliver the work I understood from firsthand experience. The practical demands of the jobsite became part of how I approached service coordination, customer expectations, and technical challenges.

It was an important step in my progression from solving problems at the equipment to supporting the people and decisions behind the solution.

SEP 2017 – JUL 2022
ALATAS Americas Inc.

Seeing the operation as a whole.

General Manager
United States

General management widened my perspective from individual service assignments to the business supporting them. The questions became broader: how do our people, technical capabilities, and operating decisions come together to meet the customer’s needs?

My approach remained rooted in the field. Understanding the work helped me connect business priorities with the practical demands of delivering crane service and engineering solutions.

OCT 2018 – PRESENT
ALATAS Americas Inc.

Leading with technical roots and forward ambition.

Managing Director
Houston, Texas

As Managing Director of ALATAS Americas, I bring a career built across fabrication, field service, commissioning, and management to the decisions that shape our business. My focus is on connecting the customer’s requirements with the people and capabilities needed to deliver.

Together with ALATAS, I work to push the envelope in crane service, modernization, and engineering. That means asking better questions, challenging assumptions, and developing solutions with a clear operational purpose—while staying close to the teams doing the work.

JAN 2025 – PRESENT
Alatas México S. de R.L.

Connecting people, capabilities, and borders.

Director
Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche, Mexico

My directorship at ALATAS Mexico extends that leadership across U.S. and Mexican operations and into the wider ALATAS network. It brings together regional customer needs, technical capabilities, and the shared experience of a worldwide organization.

The ambition is the same wherever the work takes place: understand the challenge, build the right response, and help customers get more from the equipment they depend on.
