CRANE COMMANDER / PROJECTS

From requirements
to working solutions.

A look at the engineering challenges, operational demands, and measurable scope behind the work.

Real challenges.
Solutions with scale.

The work I share reflects the breadth of ALATAS’s engineering and service capabilities—from offshore crane conversions to purpose-built equipment and urgent vessel repairs.

OFFSHORE / SUBSEA CAPABILITY
7-figureCONTRACT

From topside to subsea.

ALATAS was awarded a contract to convert an existing knuckle boom crane for subsea lifting, integrating Active Heave Compensation and the ALATAS Crane Management System to meet demanding sea-state requirements.

THE CHALLENGE / Expand the capability of an existing crane through an engineered conversion.

USA / PURPOSE-BUILT EQUIPMENT
10TAT 30 FT

Designed around the application.

ALATAS Americas’ first designed-and-built crane for a U.S. client was rated at 10T at 30 feet, with 40 feet of full extension, 360-degree operation, and radio remote or manual control. Testing and commissioning took place in Manvel, Texas.

THE SCALE / A six-foot stowed height alongside the reach and capacity required for the job.

HOUSTON / EMERGENCY VESSEL SUPPORT
24HOURS TO COMPLETION

A critical repair. A sailing kept on schedule.

A failed hatch-cover hydraulic system stopped a breakbulk vessel from closing its hatches. ALATAS diagnosed the fault and rebuilt, tested, and reinstalled both hydraulic pumps within a 16-hour repair window. The full intervention was completed within 24 hours.

THE RESULT / The vessel was cleared to sail without a change to its schedule.

MEXICO / STRUCTURAL REPAIR
In situBOOM REPAIR

Bring the solution to the equipment.

ALATAS Mexico completed a structural boom repair on site without removing the boom from the crane. The team assessed the damage, developed the repair scope, and carried out the work with the equipment in place.

THE APPROACH / Avoid dismantling while reducing disruption, time, and cost.

AN INDUSTRY WITHOUT BORDERS

Local understanding. Global capability.

My field experience has taken me from Brazil and India to Vietnam and the UAE. Today, my leadership responsibilities span the United States and Mexico, connecting that international perspective with ALATAS’s worldwide engineering and service network.
